I have been a Senior Technical Recruiter in the Richmond, VA area for 10+ years.
I am currently on LTD with my former company Atlantic Resource Group or ARG. I do however still have access to jobs and will still be posting on my site and referring to my office for follow up. At this time, ARG has both FT Direct Hire, Contract to Hire and straight contract positions that are all in the Information Technology field. My Background
I have been married for 16 years and have 3 kids, ages 15, 11, and 8. For those of you that have worked with me for awhile, you are aware of my back issues. Unfortunately due to my back and disc degeneration, I have been in chronic 24/7 pain that has hindered my ability to be able to be at my office daily. I have had to stop working FT with ARG and go on long term disability. I however am still kept in the loop on our current jobs and will continue to post these jobs on my site. Because of the economy issues, I have also had to temporarily stop accepting new members to my mailing list and sending out new updates. I will continue to use this site as a recruiting tool, because I love my job and I will always find a way to recruit either in/out of the office or on top a roof top...lol! My back is the problem, not my brain! Here is more information about my medical condition. I am just looking for my miracle to get out of pain and back to my normal life! Medical Info: Diseases/Disorders: Degenerate Disc Disease - Severe case L1-L5 / Spinal Stenosis/ 3 bulging and 1 ruptured disc with severe degeneration of cartledge in L1-L5. The doctors say my spine is of a 75 year old woman and that was when I was 33. I am 36 now. I have already had 3 back surgeries and no better. The only thing the doctors can do is a titanium cage 4 level fusion with only a 20% chance that they could even get me out of pain and recovery could take up to a year. I of course do not want to do that so I have been controlling (if that is what you want to call it) my pain in Pain Management for 5+ years.
Condition/Pain Information: Back pain - avg of 8 on scale 1-10 on a daily basis and with any housework and light activities will get to 10 pretty fast. I experience sharp nerve pain starting in lower back and going down my hip and right leg. The nerve pain varies, from sharp to burning to aching. I pretty much have all types of nerve pain/ nerve damage in lumbar area with extensive scar tissue, and 13 bone spurs pushing on nerves. I can not sit for long, because I can not stand up straight and intense sharp pain goes down my right leg. My feet used to get pins in needles alot however now my whole leg will get pins and needles then go numb. I have constant leg spasms and muscle contractions. At night when I try to rest, I have heartbeats up and down my legs from the intense spasms. I am pretty much in pain every day, all day. I have not slept more then 3 hours a night in years. I have seen all of the leading neurosurgeons in VA and taken every pain and nerve medicine out there. Still nothing yet! I am praying someone will see this and can help!
